"More Power to the Arm" also began its life within the pages of one of the IWW's many publications. It appeared in the October 1921 edition of "The Industrial Pioneer", a magazine which according to historians, "reflected the strong influence of Marxism within the IWW, as well as an activist emphasis on workers' emancipation through control of industry.

The "arm" in question, a stand-in for "industrial unionism" and the IWW itself, prepares to stab a sinister-looking octopus labeled "capitalism" whose many arms serve as representations for the effects and outcomes it's responsible for.
